Who pays for hosting and domain?
You do. You book domain and web space directly with the provider, so both belong to you. Upload, domain connection and SSL certificate are included in every package.
What does a later change cost?
Later changes such as new texts, images or extensions are billed by effort. You receive a quote in advance and know what it will cost. You do not need a maintenance contract for this.
Do I really need no maintenance?
A static website has no database, no plugins and no content management system that needs regular updates. So the usual maintenance is not needed. Your hosting provider takes care of server and SSL certificate.
Why is a lean website more secure?
It has no database, no plugins and no admin login. That removes the most common points of attack. Your hosting and email accounts should still be well protected, for example with strong passwords and two-factor login.
Can I switch to WordPress later?
Yes. Design and content can be carried over if you want to edit your site yourself later or need features that external tools cannot cover. I quote the effort in advance as a fixed price.
What do I need to provide?
You provide texts, images and your logo, plus colours, typefaces, imprint and privacy policy, if available. On request I am happy to create missing texts and images for you.
How long does it take?
Once all content is available: about 5 working days for a one-pager and about 10 working days for a small website. Premium projects with a custom layout take about 3 to 4 weeks.
Who writes the imprint and privacy policy?
On request, I provide a draft privacy policy tailored to the technology of your website. I cannot take responsibility for its legal compliance. I only embed external services such as maps or videos after agreement.
